Welcome to Foggie Toddle Books
Welcome to Foggie Toddle Books, the new name for the children’s bookshop in Wigtown, Scotland’s National Book Town. We’re looking forward to opening our doors and inviting you in to browse our bookshelves, listen to readings, join in with activities and workshops. We stock new, pre-loved and vintage books for every age group from babies through to young adults (and the young at heart.) We also have a small range of toys, gifts, local crafts, art prints and a wide selection of greetings cards. We try to support small and artisan producers and, where possible, ethically made and fair-trade products. There is a small play and drawing area so children can play while the grown ups have a look round, or perhaps the other way round!
Foggie Toddle Books is staffed by a friendly and informed team who have been with the shop since 2015. Bookseller Jayne Baldwin has been the sole owner of the business since 2020. You’ll receive a friendly welcome from Jayne, Isabelle, Louise and Magghi (but not all at the same time!).
We do our best to keep informed of new releases but can also advise you about old favourites too. Every month we showcase a different artist or crafter from Dumfries and Galloway – which is a region absolutely full of the most talented people.
