Description

The Langhill Fairy is a 19th century poem by James F Cannon based on the story of what is believed to be the last sighting of a fairy in Scotland. The event happened at a small farm just south of Whithorn in the south of the Machars peninsula, south west Scotland. In this short book the poem has been translated by local historian and bookshop owner, Gary Martin. The book features a short introduction, the poem, notes on the translation and the translation into English. The Langhill Fairy has been beautifully illustrated by Whithorn artist Fran Raw who was the driving force behind the book.
