A big hug from the Big DoG
Author and storyteller Susi Briggs brought her lovely books to the Big DoG festival in Dumfries, south west Scotland recently. Susi specialises in writing in Scots for younger children and she was appointed the Scots Scriever with the National Library of Scotland for 2024. Although she read all of her four books to the lovely audience in The Kennel venue in the town’s Midsteeple quarter she was launching the new book Yum featuring illustrations by Charlotte Brayley.
If you missed Susi there’s a chance to see her at the Dumfries branch of Waterstones on Saturday 30th March from noon. Susi will be signing books and having a blether with customers.
