New Book Reveal!

We are really excited to reveal our new picture book for young children – Shona the Vet: A Coast to Coast Adventure by Catherine Stables. Catherine approached Foggie Toddle Books last year with her lovely rhyming story and a few of the illustrations she’d planned. We thought it was a great story and we just loved the bright and fun illustrations – particularly the red helicopter and Shona’s wee dog Jock. The story takes Shona and Jock across northern Scotland from Spey Bay, to the Cairngorms and to Portree on the Isle of Skye in the Inner Hebrides. They’re called out to help a number of animals and birds including a dolphin and a puffin. The book has just gone to the printers so we hope to have copies available from mid May. The book will be available through independent bookshops but also direct from our shop on this website if you’d like to pre-order a copy. Catherine is a working vet who told stories to her two boys when they were younger, finding that some of the cases she dealt with crept into the tales. She also loves to show her sheep at local agricultural shows in the summer.
