Event at Yeadons of Elgin
If you’re in the North East of Scotland this month look out for this great event with author and vet Catherine Stables.
On Saturday 27th July at 10.30am and again at 2pm, Catherine will be reading her books featuring the adventures of Shona the Vet and her wee dog Jock. The event takes place at Yeadon’s of Elgin and also includes a chance to learn about Scottish wildlife, and bring your own soft toy along for a one to one with Catherine who is a working vet as well as being a writer, illustrator, sheep breeder, basket maker and bagpipe player – phew!
Catherine’s events are a lot of fun for wee ones and these are bound to be popular so book early. The cost is £10 but this includes a signed copy of the book.

Catherine was recently a guest at Cullen Primary School where she told the pupils about Shona the Vet and how she flies her wee red helicopter all over Scotland to help wild animals in distress. Her new adventure City Wildlife Rescue sees Shona and Jock fly to the Falkirk Wheel, Glasgow Harbour, Inverness and Edinburgh Castle! Cullen is a small village on the Moray coast about 20 miles from Elgin.
The pupils were delighted with her visit and the teacher sent Catherine these lovely pictures.
