We’re very excited here at Foggie Toddle HQ in Wigtown as the copies of Yum have arrived back from the printer (many thanks again J&B Print of Newton Stewart). We’re now taking pre-orders for the book which will be sent out from next Monday – 26th of February which is earlier than you’ll be able to buy the book in the shops. Orders through the website shop will also receive a free postcard designed by the illustrator Charlotte Brayley. Of course we’re a bit biased but we think the book looks amazing and Charlotte’s illustrations capture the simplicity and joy of the story. The characters she has created capture the spirit and joy of Susi’s words. The book aimed at the pre-school age group and the story encourages children to make friends, enjoy sharing and delight in being outdoors to play in a safe environment.

If you can wait and like to support your local bookshop (which we would, of course, encourage) the book is already rolling out through the major UK wholesaler Gardners who ordered copies last week, and through the leading Scottish wholesale suppliers.
You can also catch up with Susi at Kirkcudbright Book Week on World Book Day when she will be presenting the book as part of her event at the town’s library. (By the way the event for Donna Brewster and The House that Sugar Built at the same Book Festival has sold out!). Susi will also be reading Yum at the Big DoG children’s Festival in Dumfries on Sunday 24th March at The Kennel venue at 117 High Street.
