We are very excited to announce that author Anthony Burt will be visiting Wigtown to hold two events at Foggie Toddle Books on Saturday 5th August, at 11am and again at 2pm. Anthony is a former teacher and youth worker who now writes books and scripts for children and adults. His book The Animal Lighthouse was published by Guppy Books and it tells of a boy called Jim who was washed ashore on a Caribbean island as a baby and lives with his animal family. Problems start with a fault at the lighthouse, followed by the sight of a pirate ship on the horizon! Come along to find out how Jim and his friends deal with the threat to their island life. Anthony will be reading from the book and also creating fun filled mayhem at Foggie Toddle Books on Saturday August 5th at 11am and again at 2pm. Please not that this book is aimed at readers aged 8 to 12 but all children must be accompanied by an adult.
