Neil Gaiman delightful book Pirate Stew
While we’re on lock down we thought we would share some of our favourite books in the shop. To start us off we have Pirate Stew written by Neil Gaiman who, of course, writes for all age groups and is one of the UK’s most prolific writers. Chris Riddell is a former chilldren’s laureate and a writer and illustrator as busy as Neil Gaiman. The book has been chosen by Isabelle who says:
“Being left with a baby sitter can be a stressful experience, especially if your sitter is a huge cook from a pirate ship!!
He and his pirate companions have some usual ingredients planned for a stew which you eat if you dare (don’t try this recipe at home!!)
The rhyming style carries the story along while the pages fill up with a huge cast of colour characters. A visual treat!
