Lovely cotton tote bag featuring the Booktown Bookshelf design.

Lovely cotton tote bag made for us by Rainbow Ink in Kilmarnock. The sturdy bag has the design on one side. It features the original painting by artist Will Gorman that can be seen on the telephone junction box outside Wigtown Pharmacy in Scotland’s National Booktown. The artist was commissioned to create a Scottish bookshelf by the owner of the post office that used to be in the building now owned by the pharmacy. Will Gorman spent a year in all weathers researching and  creating this remarkable painting. It provides an interesting reading list of Scottish literature and books, historical and contemporary. Look out for one or two red herrings.

The range also includes mugs and tea towels made for us by Rainbow Ink and postcards and bookmarks printed by J&B Print of Newton Stewart.
