The team here at Foggie Toddle are managing to keep our chins up – in fact we’ve got a few things in the pipeline that we’re working on while the shop remains closed. Jayne has been busy buying in some fabulous new products for when the shop does reopen including lovely cards from a Sheffield based textile artist called Dawn Ireland, some more of the wonderful dinosaur toys from Best Years Ltd and a whole range of amazing organic fairtrade textile rattles from a company called Pebble.
There is currently a digital festival going on organised by the Wigtown Festival Company all about space called The Big Bang and Louise created a window display that was out of this world – boom, boom!

Isabelle is working on a customer request to provide a monthly book bundle for a parent and we’re hoping to make this idea available for anyone to order via the website shop very soon. We’re working with local crafters to provide gifts in each of the boxes that are very special. We’ll post more news on the project very soon.
Foggie Toddle Publishing has two books being prepared for publication, one under the Second Sands imprint. The first is a new book from writer Alasdair Hutton and artist Will Gorman. The story was commissioned by Jayne who had read Alasdair’s book for the 7 to 9 age group – The Tattoo Fox and felt that there was a character was one of the background characters who had a story to tell. The result was The Castle Cat and we’ll be telling you more about it as things progress. We’re hoping to be able to publish the picture book in the summer as Will is working away on the illustrations. He’s at the storyboarding phase, producing detailed sketch ideas to go with the words. Here’s one he’s produced.
