Full Moon over Wigtown
After a busy run up to Christmas the shop is, sadly, once again closed for the foreseeable future. Wigtown is, even in a normal year, a quiet place during January. Many of the bookshops close and owners take a well-deserved break. A lot of the shops and bookshop cafes are family run or like my shop, run mainly by one person, some seven days a week from Easter to Christmas so January can be a time to take stock and make plans. Foggie Toddle has lots of local customers who pop in for a card, birthday gift or books for the children so it’s difficult to have our door closed knowing that people will inevitably turn to online shopping. Remember that we are very happy to supply books so please think of independent bookshops if you are looking for a title. We can post out or deliver locally. During January we will be working on our website shop and don’t forget we have an increasing range of lovely vintage titles in our Etsy shop so please pop over and have a look.
