The team behind Foggie Toddle Books were excited to open the door again (quietly) on the 29th June. We’ll be opening again at our usual 10am to 4pm hours from the 13th when other bookshops in Wigtown will be opening again. This initial period allows us to see how the new shop layout is working and ensure that it is working for customers and staff.
Sadly we’ve had to release Louis the Lion, the Gruffalo, the centipede and Mr Wordsworth Wiggs into the garden behind the shop for their summer holidays. We’ve also had to remove the seating and play area from the front of the shop for the moment. We are planning to hold children’s craft sessions when we are officially open with bookable time slots for families. These sessions will be led by Isabelle who usually works in the shop on alternate Saturdays.
