Showtime for Hanna the Highland Cowgirl

We are thrilled to announce that we are currently putting together our next wonderful book from author Louisa MacDougall and illustrator Sarah Lovell. We can reveal the cover for the new title and isn’t it fabulous! The story tells of a whole new challenge for Hanna who wants to be a cowgirl. In her first inspirational adventure we saw how living in a city in Scotland didn’t stop this determined you girl from fulfilling her dreams.
But Hanna not only loves helping to look after the Highland heifer Calamity Jane but she’s also a big fan of Highland dancing. The problem is that at this summer’s agricultural show she wants to compete in the cattle handling classes AND the dancing competition. Hanna is determined that she can do both, but will it work out quite as she’d planned? Parents and children will love the hilarious results and the delightful illustrations from Sarah.
Look out for the book at the end of July, but we’ll keep you posted as things are progressing. And talking of shows… you’ll be able to meet our wonderful author and illustrator (and vet, and basket weaver) Catherine Stables at this year’s Turriff Show on the 3rd and 4th of August. Catherine will showcasing her three books featuring Shona the Vet – Coast to Coast Adventure, City Wildlife Rescue and Farm to Farm. You’ll find Catherine in the food and drink tent and she’ll be delighted to tell you about her life as a vet and why she decided to write her lovely stories.
